MY PERSONAL SUGGESTION IS- WE SHOULD HAVE A SUBJECT IN THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM ON MONEY MANAGEMENT IN THE REAL WORLD!
Prepare a budget and STICK TO IT.
Be sure to factor in funds for unexpected situations and/or interest rises.
Re-arrange annual payments- pay in frequent installments.-this will help with cash flow.
Carefully consider how you use any additional cash.-consider a good interest at the bank or building society. 6 months period is a good start.
Limit yourself to one credit card.
Check your credit file regularly.
Pay close attention to due dates on all bills.-PAY ON TIME.
